Position Overview & Requirements- Specialty: Echo Imaging
- Discipline: Allied Health Professional
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- 40 hours per week
- Shift: 8 hours, daytime
- Employment Type: Travel
The Echo Imaging Specialist will be responsible for conducting Transthoracic echocardiograms and assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms. Under the guidance of a qualified echocardiographer, this role also includes setting up and performing exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms, adhering to the standards established by the American Society of Echocardiography.
Key qualifications include:
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice, typically acquired through a minimum of two years of education at an accredited nursing institution.
- Completion of a two-year Allied Health degree and a successful finish of a 12-month CAAHEP accredited program in Ultrasound Technology or Cardiovascular Technology.
- Certification in cardiac ultrasound from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.
- Previous experience in healthcare roles such as CNA, EMT, or PCA is preferred.
