Critical Care Nurse

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will be invaluable in diagnosing and treating patients with complex medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and provide direct patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Practice infection control and maintain a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements
- Possession of a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State.
- At least one year of previous hospital acute care experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations. You must be able to wear 10lb lead aprons during working shifts and report to the hospital within 30 minutes of being recalled.
