About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our production team at Dover Corporation. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in manufacturing and assembling high-quality products, adhering to strict safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble or produce component parts into sub-assemblies, assemblies, and completed units, following standard work instructions and assembly travelers.
  • Operate hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools, maintaining a high level of proficiency and efficiency.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping, adhering to 6S principles.
  • Perform minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment, identifying and reporting any defects or issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, participating in cross-training and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform a variety of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years of production assembly work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Basic PC skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of 6S principles and ability to apply them in the workplace
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, or sit for long periods
