Overview of the Role:

As a Cyber Security Engineer specializing in Cyber Test Tool (CTT) ISSO at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the security framework and daily operational integrity of the Cyber Test Tool (CTT). Your responsibilities will include the preparation and submission of essential EMASS documentation and collaborating closely with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Security Analysts (SAs) on the Test team to facilitate both hardware and software enhancements across all GMD components. You will also support the customer by translating requirements and executing critical evaluations in various laboratory settings. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading and directing all cybersecurity initiatives related to CTT, including the Security Plan (SP), Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Reports, Contingency Plans, Security Assessment Plans, and coordination of ATO Letters.
  • Acting as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO), ensuring compliance with security protocols as directed by the Information System Security Manager (SSM), information owner, and system owner.
  • Creating EMASS packages for approval by DCSA and MDA.
  • Managing all security-related modifications to hardware and software for laboratory systems and networks.
  • Conducting audits and monitoring vulnerabilities in accordance with security best practices and RMF operational guidelines.
  • Establishing and maintaining hardware and software baselines.
  • Collaborating effectively within a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

To qualify for this challenging position, candidates should possess the following experience and qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor’s degree) and typically 5 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of computing systems, including Networking (Cisco), Linux, Solaris, and Microsoft environments.
  • Prior experience in System Administration.
  • Possession of CISSP and Linux+ certifications.
  • Familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
  • Understanding of DoD Manual, DoD Information Security Program, and NISPOM.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Systems and its implementation policies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity risk management frameworks applicable to DoD systems.
  • Familiarity with GMD System Components and related systems.

Security Clearance Requirement:

This position necessitates the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is mandatory.

Background Check Requirement:

Successful candidates must clear a background check and meet enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GMD programs.
  • Expertise in System of Systems Integration.
  • Strong security background with previous roles as ISSO, FSO, or ISSM.
  • Knowledge of the Linux operating system.
  • Understanding of network programming and protocols (TCP/UDP).
  • Familiarity with the Security EMASS development process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification.

Work Schedule:

This position is 100% onsite with a 9/80 work schedule.

Compensation Range:

$77,000 - $137,000
