We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Order Picker at PACE Supply. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare merchandise for customers by filling and packaging orders for will call or shipping.
- Look up part numbers, quantities, product locations, and customer information on the computer and/or RF scanner.
- Refill shelves and racks from overstock, as needed.
- Pull orders from inventory, assigned zones, manually and/or utilizing a forklift.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a cooperative manner with customers, co-workers, and managers.
- Maintain cleanliness of the overall facility to support safety standards, with an emphasis on the area assigned to the workgroup.
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent education required.
- Two or Four-Year college degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is preferred.
- Warehouse, plumbing, retail/customer service, and forklift experience is also desirable, but not required.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data.
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
- Ability to recognize and read location, date, and product codes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck. Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
