Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to a diverse group of K – 12 students, adapting services to address their specific needs and developmental milestones.
  • Evaluate and assist students in areas such as speech, articulation, fluency, and language growth, utilizing a comprehensive approach to foster their communication skills.
  • Collaborate with classroom educators and other staff to implement effective interventions, ensuring a unified strategy for student advancement.
  • Conduct assessments and generate detailed reports that outline strengths and areas for improvement, focusing on voice, speech, and fluency to guide informed decisions.
  • Create individualized treatment plans with a focus on the child and family, taking into account the unique circumstances of each student and their family.
  • Actively engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing insights and recommendations to support students' communication objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations, safeguarding the privacy of children and their families.
Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field.
  • Valid California Speech Language Pathology Therapy (SLP) or SLPA license.
  • Prior experience in a clinical or educational environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
