Additionally, the operator will troubleshoot any machine issues that may arise.

Contributing to Success

• Interpret orders and select appropriate resins and additives.
• Operate extruders and resin-handling machinery.
• Maximize extruder output while minimizing scrap production.
• Conduct necessary quality checks using micrometers and dyne test solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, time usage, and material consumption.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dyes, including changing dyes and screen packs.
• Label materials and manage the movement of rolls and carts to designated areas.
• Adhere to all operational rules and procedures governing the extrusion department.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment by following workplace regulations and reporting any incidents or hazards.

Expertise that Drives Our Success

• High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years in general warehouse operations.
• Ability to comprehend and interpret simple written materials.
• Capable of writing basic statements and numerical data.
• Proficient in performing arithmetic calculations involving fractions and decimals.
• Previous experience in blown film extrusion is preferred, along with basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Average dexterity and coordination, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb stairs.
• Regular mental and visual attention required to monitor extruder operations.
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Must be a team player and adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Quick adaptability to new procedures and advancements in the industry.
