Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Deli Associate to join our team at Family Fare. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for preparing and producing deli products, packaging and labeling them according to program plans, and merchandising deli products to meet flight plans and merchandising expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce deli products to meet production planner requirements
  • Package and label deli products according to program plans
  • Merchandise deli products to meet flight plans and merchandising expectations
  • Stock backroom with deli products, rotating and dating cases and buckets
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and stores to achieve growth in our retail stores
  • Notify the deli manager if products and supplies need to be ordered
  • Understand basic mathematical functions and communicate tasks, recipes, weights, and measures to other associates
  • Follow all PPE and safety guidelines, food safety and cleaning expectations, and guest experience guidelines
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year of retail or related experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Detail-oriented
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate may be required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. The work environment is typically a retail store environment with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
