Position Overview:
The UHealth Tower is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional outpatient clinical care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiology and demonstrate the ability to work autonomously or with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervising physicians to address all patient medical needs.
- Formulate treatment strategies for both acute and chronic health issues.
- Educate patients on disease prevention and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and perform necessary diagnostic tests.
- Manage comprehensive patient care, focusing on lifestyle and developmental challenges.
- Emphasize preventative care and effective disease management.
- Prescribe medications and oversee chronic care management for patients.
- Recognize the diverse needs of the patient population and provide compassionate care.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to uphold the highest standards of patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuing education to enhance professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain current licensure and certification.
- Facilitate smooth transitions for patients within various healthcare settings.
- Engage in effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree in Nursing
Licensing:
Valid State of Florida APRN License
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital setting with a focus on cardiac care.
- Relevant education, work experience, and certifications will be considered.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
