Job Overview:
Cynet Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Staff Float Pool MedSurg Travel Nurse RN. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Work within a 176-bed acute care hospital.
- Will be assigned a home unit on the first day of orientation.
- Handle patient types including CHF, chest pain, diabetic foot ulcers, HTN, AFIB, AMS, SOB, GI bleed, urinary retention, sepsis, osteomyelitis, pneumonia, asthma, CVA/TIA, DVT, PE, colitis, abdominal pain, and post-surgical patients.
- Be comfortable working with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 on various units including cardiac, post-surgical, and GU/Medical.
- Complete orientation comprising 24 hours in classroom settings and 24 hours on the unit for new hires or those with a year of experience.
- Participate in a weekend rotation schedule every other weekend or four weekend days per month if on a block schedule.
- Cover one major and one minor seasonal holiday.
- Utilize technology and equipment such as Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell for medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors.
- Engage in floating to any like unit/patient location as needed.
- Support on the unit will include a CNA to patient ratio of 1:3, receptionist/HUC support, a charge nurse who does not take a patient assignment, and telemetry monitoring tech support.
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 months of experience with recent Medical-Surgical (MS) experience required for first-time travelers.
- Registered Nurse License.
- BLS, NIHSS certifications.
