Job Description

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Geometrical Architect to join our dynamic global team at A Society Group, Inc. as a Chassis Architecture Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed packaging studies and propose concept or design solutions to optimize product development.
  • Support cross-functional packaging meetings and collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient geometrical work.
  • Analyze and propose common solutions to minimize part numbers and maximize common parts across all brands.
  • Verify media routing, propose routing paths, and clipping solutions to improve product design.
  • Perform pre-study packaging analysis, present consequences, and propose a way forward to drive business growth.
  • Contribute to the improvement of packaging verification processes, methods, and tools to enhance product quality.
  • Participate in geometry verification plans (virtual builds, physical builds, DMU structure) to improve CAD maturity and quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of product development experience, preferably in class 8 heavy-duty truck development.
  • A firm understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing philosophy and applications.
  • Complete vehicle and/or Chassis knowledge is preferable.
  • Strong experience with PTC Creo Parametric & Creo View.
  • The ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
  • Product Data Management experience, preferably with Volvo PDM system KOLA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
