About the Job

Generis Tek Inc. is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team in San Angelo, TX. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures at a technical level, maintaining quality control procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI Procedures: Conduct MRI procedures at a technical level in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Ensure proper quality control procedures are in place to guarantee accurate and reliable results.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment to ensure compliance.
  • Patient Interaction: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Possess knowledge of concepts, standards, procedures, and equipment related to MRI technology.
  • Extended Hours: Be able to work extended hours when necessary to meet the demands of the role.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a safe and appropriate work area, including inventory management of supplies.
  • Employer Work Practices: Adhere to employer work practices as described in the TDC Occupational Exposure Plan policy.
  • Patient Care: Possess knowledge of basic patient care and activities that may be necessary during exams.
  • Meetings and Committees: Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Teamwork: Work as a team member within the imaging department and all other departments.
  • Documentation: Document work processes as required.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education
  • High School Diploma: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Radiology Program: Completion of an accredited Radiology program is required.
Certification and Licensure
  • National Registration: National registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (AART) is required.
  • CPR Certification: Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers is required.
Experience
  • Minimum Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in MRI is required.
Skills
  • Patient Positioning: Ability to properly position patients to provide quality imaging.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently.
  • MRI Applications: Complete understanding of MRI applications.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate equipment.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management, and peers.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people.
  • Telephone Skills: Excellent telephone skills.
