About the Role

The Asphalt Crew Member position is a key member of our team, responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex physical labor tasks. This role assists other crew members by operating a range of hand/power tools and heavy machinery to clean and prepare sites, apply pavement preservation products, and set up/remove cones and carpet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loads and unloads trucks, hauling materials to the job site.
  • Performs strenuous manual labor in preparing surfaces for pavement repair and maintenance.
  • Conducts pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Works with team members to apply pavement preservation products such as seal coat and HA5 high-density mineral bond.
  • Maintains a clean job site, picking up all tools and equipment and securing the site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Complies with all safety and OSHA regulations.
  • Performs other functions as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be hard-working, dependable, and able to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • Preferably has three months or more of related work experience.
Physical Demands

The position requires lifting heavy objects, walking, sitting, and standing for long periods of time, and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Days and hours may vary depending on the size and nature of the project, and this role frequently requires long hours and weekend work (often 20-40 hours of overtime each week).
