Job Summary

CHI St Alexius Health Williston Medical Center is seeking a skilled and experienced LDRP RN to join our team in providing high-quality obstetric and neonatal care to our patients. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Certification and Licensure
    • Must possess current RN licensure and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
    • Preferred certifications include Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE
  • Job Requirements
    • 13-week contract position for an LDRP RN
    • Responsible for the care of obstetric/neonatal patients, hypertension, gestational diabetes, and other related conditions
    • Expected to have the ability to read and interpret fetal strips, utilize critical thinking skills, and follow quality metrics
    • Need to exhibit adaptability to change and strong communication skills for a successful tenure on the unit
  • Unit-Specific Information
    • The LDRP unit has 15 total beds, with 7 LDRP and 8 postpartum beds
    • Experience with a variety of equipment, including ventilators, CPAP, BiPap, and high-flow oxygen therapy
    • The facility uses Philips brand telemonitors and Traceview/PIP EFM System
    • EMR system used is Meditech
  • Additional Requirements
    • RNs may be required to float to different units, such as Medsurg and ER, depending on the hospital's needs
    • Scrub color is maroon; scrubs are provided, and RN will change into surgical scrubs once on the unit
    • Unit/department-specific orientation is 3 shifts
    • Attributes that help make a nurse successful on this unit include being adaptive to change and a good critical thinker with strong communication skills
Requirements
  • Must have previous travel experience
  • Ability to read strips and float to Medsurg & ER as needed
  • Required to titrate drips such as pitocin, insulin, and magnesium
  • Must be able to turn and ambulate patients
