A Day in the Life of a Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse

As a member of our care team, you will have the opportunity to build your clinical expertise while shaping the lives of your clients and their loved ones every single day. Your workday may begin with a warm greeting from your client, who looks forward to seeing you. You will assist with daily activities such as breakfast, sponge baths, and medication administration, all while documenting treatment plans and progress within our electronic health record platform.

Throughout the day, you will be empowered to make decisions and take direction from our clinical team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Responsibilities of a Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Provide one-to-one nursing care in a home environment, fostering strong relationships with clients and their families.
  • Take direction from our clinical team and follow established protocols to ensure high-quality care.
  • Follow the plan of care and adapt to changing needs and circumstances.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and family members.

Requirements for a Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse

  • A valid Pennsylvania LPN License or Multistate License to practice in the state.
  • A PPD or Chest X-Ray to ensure safety and compliance.
  • A valid BLS CPR card, obtained in person, to demonstrate proficiency.
  • A valid driver's license to facilitate travel to client homes.
  • G-tube, trach, vent experience or willingness to train and develop new skills.
