About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a teacher or special education teacher who has modified their career path by becoming licensed as a speech therapist, occupational therapist, or physical therapist. We are looking for someone with a passion for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact in their lives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to children in a clinic and community-based setting
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop strategies for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date on best practices and research
Requirements
  • Must have prior pediatric experience (senior level therapists > 8 years experience)
  • Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined, creative, and confident working independently
  • Must be willing to work in a small, personable setting with an abundance of resources
  • Must be licensed in NY State and carry Professional Liability insurance
  • Must get NYC DOE Fingerprinting & clearance required immediately
