Compensation and BenefitsAs a Home Health CNA with Amedisys, you can expect a competitive hourly rate of $25.00 per hour, plus additional benefits including:
- A comprehensive benefits package with choice of affordable PPO or HSA medical plans
- Paid time off
- Up to $1,300 in free healthcare services paid by Amedisys yearly, when enrolled in an Amedisys HSA medical plan
- Up to $500 in wellness rewards for completing activities during the year
- Mental health support, including up to five free counseling sessions per year through the Amedisys Employee Assistance program
- 401(k) with a company match
- Fleet vehicle program (restrictions apply) and mileage reimbursement
As a Home Health CNA, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care services to patients in their homes
- Applying safety principles and proper body mechanics to perform specific techniques of personal and supportive care
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals, assisting with feeding, as assigned
- Performing homemaking and other environmental services as assigned
- Observing, reporting, and documenting any changes in patient status
- Following specific written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse in accordance with the plan of care
- Assisting patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist
- Performing and recording simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant as per state certification/registration requirements
- CNA experience within the last two years
- If it has been more than two years, completion of another training and competency program before providing services
- Must be able to successfully pass the competency program of the care center
- Current CPR certification
