About the Role

Creekside Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Activities Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Activities Department, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement activity programs tailored to the diverse backgrounds, emotional needs, and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director to evaluate resident needs and preferences, and plan activities accordingly.
  • Document activity plans and progress notes as directed.
  • Assist in the planning and setup of activities, including gathering supplies and rearranging rooms.
  • Help develop and distribute monthly activity calendars to residents and post them throughout the facility.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of facility newsletters.
  • Ensure compliance with safety requirements, infection control measures, and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers, email accounts, and software programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Thorough understanding of best practices in activities and recreation.
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and willingness to work with residents of varying maturity and physical levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to Corporate Compliance and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is preferred.
