About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Echocardiographer to join our team at DispatchHealth Imaging. As a Mobile Echo Technologist, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography studies for patients in a variety of service locations in the local community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to patient locations in a company-supplied vehicle to perform echocardiography studies
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols while performing echo exams
  • Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies based on established protocols and procedures
  • Collect or verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams
  • Operate portable ultrasonic equipment with cardiac capabilities at patient's bedside or other designated exam settings
  • Prepare images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician
  • Process images and review for proper identification and quality control
  • Transmit images and all required associated documentation to cardiologist in a timely manner according to company protocols
  • Complete all forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed according to standard protocols
  • Upload all required documents into company systems according to company protocols
  • Maintain equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting according to company procedures
  • Take good care of vehicle, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary supplies prior to each shift
  • Operate and behave in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations
  • Orient new staff and train students, if requested
  • Assist with order taking, validation of studies, communication with reading cardiologists, customer call-backs, and other administrative and customer support functions as directed
Requirements
  • Meet all state-specific and federal requirements for training, education, competency, certification, and state license to perform
  • Adult Cardiac Sonographer with a satisfactory completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program, with a focus in adult echocardiography and/or vascular ultrasound studies
  • ARDMS registered in adult echocardiography with RDCS (AE) designation or CCI registered with Cardiac Sonographer
  • 2 years' experience as a cardiac sonographer or vascular tech preferred
  • Additional Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) desired
  • Ability to perform quality and compete echocardiogram studies and possess excellent organizational skills to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and organize assignments of the Job
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Working knowledge of other departmental procedures and equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
  • Basic computer skills to perform date entry
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may require evenings, holidays, and weekends
