Work Environment
Electrical engineers typically operate within an industrial setting. Their primary tools include computers equipped with specialized software to design and adjust their programs. While executing their responsibilities in a manufacturing environment, employees may encounter fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical components, and vibrations, as well as exposure to high temperatures and varying weather conditions. The noise levels in these environments can be significant, and personal protective equipment (PPE) may be necessary.
Physical Requirements

- In this position, employees are frequently required to communicate verbally and audibly. The role is highly active, necessitating standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, sitting, and climbing.
- Employees often need to stand, walk, manipulate objects with their hands, and reach with their arms. Specific vision capabilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Education
Mandatory
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
- Training in logic circuits, electric motors, and mechanical devices.
- Familiarity with large rotating machinery.
- Ability to interpret and explain manufacturing drawings, schematics, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of three years of experience programming with Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC systems.
