About the Role

The Rehabilitation Specialist role for an Occupational Therapist involves assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses to develop effective treatment plans. This role requires maintaining patient confidentiality and providing positive encouragement to help patients achieve their goals. The primary responsibility is to aid patients in healing, recovering, improving pain tolerance, and maximizing functional independence, with a focus on Hand Therapy.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with CPR license
  • Strong Clinical Decision-Making Skills and 1+ year professional OT experience
  • Ability to Work as a Team Member and individually with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
  • Collect and Record Patient Care Data, prepare evaluations, establish treatment plans, and provide education/training to patients
  • Offer Functional Training, neurological interventions, musculoskeletal interventions, and oversee support staff of COTA, OT aides
  • Attend Annual JAG PT Billing and Coding Seminar, present facility-level in-service annually, and promote JAG PT in the community through lectures/presentations
