Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Assist with various medical procedures, exams, and operations as assigned
- Take vital signs, room patients, and assist with procedures under the direction and supervision of a physician
- Provide patient education and support to promote healthy outcomes
- Administrative Support:
- Manage patient records, maintain accurate and legible documentation
- Coordinate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform basic office duties, such as copying, filing, and retrieval of medical records
- Communication and Teamwork:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in interdisciplinary communication to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current certifications and knowledge
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices
Requirements:
- CMA certification required within first year of employment and maintained thereafter
- CPR certification obtained within 6 months of start date
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical school education preferred
