Forensic Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Engineer to join our team at Coda Search│Staffing. As a Forensic Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting investigative evaluations of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings to identify damage and defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform forensic evaluations of buildings to identify damage and defects, including storm-related damage, moisture intrusion, and construction defects.
  • Prepare detailed and unbiased written reports of findings based on field inspections and research.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, engineering teams, and home office staff to ensure timely and professional service.
  • Provide expert testimony and depositions as needed.
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
  • Active professional engineer (PE) license in the state of employment or ability to become licensed within two months.
  • Valid driver's license without travel time restrictions and ability to be insured by the company to use company vehicles.
