Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of young children
  • Mentor and support assistant teachers to ensure high-quality care and education
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians
  • Ensure the safety and health of children in your care, providing a consistent and nurturing environment
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must meet state education criteria
  • CPR and First Aid Certified, or be willing to obtain
  • 3+ years of experience in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, including 18 semester hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8
  • Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential
Compensation Package
  • Group Health Insurance (medical, dental, prescription, vision, and life insurance)
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holidays
  • YMCA Retirement Fund (mandatory after qualifying period) - 7% YMCA & 5% Employee Contribution after qualifying time
  • This is a Full-time position, 39.5 hours per week
