Lead Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Lead Mechanic to join our manufacturing team at General Mills. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment
- Provide technical support to improve and optimize manufacturing operations and processes
- Work with the Maintenance Lead and Line Team to improve safety and drive out top losses
- Assist in the elimination of breakdown-related losses and defect handling
- Support the Maintenance Lead in identifying recurring maintenance problems and recommending solutions
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Proficient in English
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of PLC operation, electrical components, and systems troubleshooting
- $34.77 per hour
- 120 hours of vacation annually and 11 paid company holidays
