Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Delivery Driver to join our team at Walden Local Meat Co. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely driving a 10-12-foot delivery van in urban, suburban, and rural areas, delivering monthly meat subscription shares to our members' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a delivery van in various weather conditions, navigating through urban, suburban, and rural areas
  • Load and unload delivery van, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of meat shares
  • Use Routific app to navigate deliveries, capturing confirmation photos at each stop
  • Respectfully deliver meat shares to members' homes, adhering to delivery instructions
  • Collect prior month's delivery bags, re-fold, sort, and return them to the warehouse for re-use
  • Communicate with manager and team members during the route to ensure 100% on-time delivery and accuracy of member orders
  • Answer basic customer service inquiries from Walden Local members during home delivery
  • Complete pre-departure and end-of-route paperwork regarding the route and delivery vehicle condition
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery van, removing personal items and cleaning up spills
  • Coordinate delivery adjustments with the Member Experience team to ensure smooth delivery
  • Pitch in with miscellaneous warehouse tasks as needed on scheduled non-delivery days
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record for the past 3 years
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-45 pounds while walking and climbing stairs
  • Comfort with driving in new areas and working in varying weather conditions
  • Excellent work attendance and a passion for our mission to support local and sustainable food and agriculture
