Job Title: Volunteer AthleticsJoin Globe Unified School District #1 as a Volunteer Athletics team member and contribute to the success of our student-athletes.
Job Summary:We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to support our athletics program. As a Volunteer Athletics team member, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and help them achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:- Assist in ensuring student safety on athletic trips as a chaperone for both school day and overnight trips.
- Support team and family events, including fundraisers, preparation, decoration, and clean-up.
- Coach and assist coaches in specialized areas of expertise.
- Participate in booster organization activities, such as fundraising, chaperoning, event planning, and student awards.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a team environment that fosters student learning.
- Perform other voluntary tasks as identified by the head coach or athletic director.
- Athletics volunteers must have NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and NFHS Concussion certification prior to attending practice.
- Volunteers must re-apply each year and be approved by the school board.
- Athletic volunteers are unpaid, voluntary positions that do not include rights of employment or benefits afforded to District employees.
- Sitting, standing, lifting, and carrying (up to 50 pounds)
- Reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, and kneeling
- Listening to and observing students
- Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions
- Sport-specific balls and equipment
- Ability to work in various noise, temperature, and air quality conditions
- Inside and outside assignments
- Interruptions of work are routine
- Ability to navigate work environments with uneven surfaces
- Flexibility and patience are required
- After-hours work may be required
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
