Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rack Maintenance and Solutions Technician to join our team at our plating facility in Sterling Heights, Michigan. As a key member of our 3rd shift team, you will be responsible for maintaining plating tooling and solutions, ensuring the efficient operation of our automated plating facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain plating tooling to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair and replace splines on flight bars to prevent malfunctions
  • Record and document maintenance activities to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Clean and maintain tanks for solution maintenance to prevent contamination
  • Filter and document maintenance records to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Stack and organize equipment to optimize storage and accessibility
  • Clean and maintain Perrin presses to ensure proper function
  • Manage carbon totes to prevent waste and optimize usage
  • Verify and document amperage settings to ensure safe operation
  • Monitor lines for malfunctions and detrimental conditions to prevent downtime
  • Verify and document temperatures to ensure optimal plating conditions
  • Maintain hoists to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Tank maintenance: rinse, fill, and top off tanks to ensure optimal plating conditions
Requirements
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and thorough maintenance
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures to ensure compliance and safety
  • Initiative to identify and address maintenance needs proactively
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
