Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Lead to join our team at Quail Park at Shannon Ranch. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring a superior quality dining experience for our residents and guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meal Service
    • Attend pre-meal meetings to become familiar with menu items being served.
    • Participate in the seating of residents in the dining room and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
    • Assist with serving meals in accordance with proper serving techniques and ensure that food is presented in an attractive manner.
    • Monitor and report any unusual occurrences or changes in resident behavior or eating habits.
  • Dining Room Cleaning
    • Assist with cleaning and maintaining all service areas in the dining room.
    • Ensure that tables, chairs, and carpet are cleaned after each meal and prepared for the next meal in a timely manner.
  • Lead Shift
    • Assist in training dining room personnel and direct them in the absence of the Dining Room Supervisor.
    • Monitor and assign tasks to ensure efficient and effective meal service.
    • Ensure that all dining room personnel maintain a strong customer service focus and are consistently professional in conduct and appearance.
  • Dining Room Operation
    • Ensure that all dining and kitchen service areas are clean and organized.
    • Enforce safe food handling techniques at all times.
    • Communicate frequently with residents, families, guests, and team members to address concerns and suggestions.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years food service experience, including 1 year of previous dining room management.
  • Previous experience in both restaurant and senior living settings preferred.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, team members, and vendors.
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet all health-related and/or food handling requirements pertaining to local or state regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to maintain current CPR/First Aid credentials and Food Handlers credentials.
  • Ability to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work full-time, including occasional evenings and some weekend and holiday rotations.
