Job Title: Registered Medication Aide

At Rappahannock Westminster Canterbury, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Medication Aide to join our team in our Assisted Living area. As a Registered Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Pass medications and deliver required nursing care, personal care, treatments, and psychological support to assigned residents.
  • Observe and report resident conditions of concern and support the commitment of Resident's Rights.
  • Redirects and provides activities and/or communicates appropriately with the cognitively impaired.
  • Assists in maintaining resident and unit area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  • Assists with meal service, clean up, and light cooking to accommodate individual resident requests.
Requirements:
  • Registered Medication Aide Certification
  • Nurse Aide Certification
  • Previous memory care experience preferred
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Ability to communicate and interact competently on a one-to-one basis with residents and family members.
  • Ability and desire to engage residents in a variety of daily activities.
  • Ability to take initiative for resident care and daily enjoyment.
