Job Title: Process Lab Chemist

Join Oxy, a leading international energy company, in our Low Carbon Venture (LCV) TerraLithium Business Unit in Brawley, California.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Process Lab Chemist to maintain the highest priority of protecting the environment, health, and safety of our employees, customers, and communities. The successful candidate will provide qualitative and quantitative analytical services, produce clear and concise reports, and coordinate with vendors and technical resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation for routine and project work.
  • Provide analytical and research services to support problem-solving for TerraLithium and LCV Technology Development.
  • Participate in special projects, including committees and other activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of changing technologies and markets.
  • Ensure a respectful and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical laboratory.
  • Knowledge of fundamental chemical principles, laboratory practices, and safety protocols.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide minor maintenance on analytical instruments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and excellent communication skills.
What We Offer:

Oxy provides a competitive benefit package, including a salary range of $81,600 - $112,000 and a discretionary bonus of 0-30%.
