Lymphedema Therapist II

The Lymphedema Therapist II will provide clinical expertise to Lymphedema Therapy Staff. This role requires a strong understanding of lymphedema treatment principles and practices, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Provide professional lymphedema services to patients, including evaluation, planning, and treatment.
• Work in a variety of settings, including acute care hospitals and satellite clinics.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Assist with program development and marketing efforts.

• Holds an appropriate degree or equivalent for a clinical specialty area (Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Physical Therapist Assistant).
• Holds current certification from an approved school offering certification courses with at least 140 hours of instruction in lymphedema treatment.
• Holds a current California license issued by the State of California in a clinical specialty area.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support Provider Certificate from the American Heart Association.
• Two to three years of clinical experience in a medical setting, with three to five years of experience in lymphedema treatment.

• Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective leadership and working relationships.
• Ability to analyze situations and take appropriate action.
• Emotional stability, personal and professional integrity, and interest in knowledge growth and learning.
