Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer I to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Security Officer I, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and employees. This is a full-time position working evening shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Enforce hospital rules and regulations, and report any incidents or concerns to management.
  • Direct traffic and parking on hospital property, and assist with vehicle problems as needed.
  • Provide escort services to campus facilities, and respond to emergency situations as required.
  • Participate in fire drills and fire safety programs, and assist with emergency response efforts.
  • Operate security technology equipment, including CCTV systems, fire alarm systems, and access control systems.
  • Investigate incidents and complete detailed reports as required.
  • Assist with prisoner escort duties, and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
