Responsibilities as a Tree Trimmer at Lewis:

• Participate in an innovative climbing skills training program
• Work within a close-knit team environment
• Conduct line clearing and tree trimming tasks for utility clients, including pruning and removing trees and limbs, as well as clearing debris from various surfaces
• Climb trees for manual trimming and removals near power lines
• Prepare, operate, and maintain all necessary tools and equipment, including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
• Remove limbs and brush, ensuring proper cleanup and disposal of debris
• Mix and apply spray chemicals to preserve desirable vegetation
• Ensure the safety of employees and the public by managing hazards in the work area and enforcing safety practices

Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting a minimum of 50 lbs to shoulder height or more
• Capable of operating two-handed equipment (e.g., chainsaws, circular saws) and enduring various climate conditions
• Willingness to obtain specialized training and certifications as needed, such as tree species identification and relevant licenses
• Ability to secure First Aid and CPR certifications
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and job skills assessments
• Valid Driver's License required
