Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at Albany Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, plan, and manage administrative, financial, and operational duties in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division.
  • Mentor and support professional caregivers in delivering high-quality patient care and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
  • Provide visible leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift of work and ensure competent, compassionate care is uniformly provided to customers.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
  • Provide direction and support to unit-based staff and collaborate with other service and department leaders toward attainment of short- and long-term goals and objectives.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
