We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team at Teledyne FLIR LLC. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for assembling subassemblies and top assemblies of complex products, including commercial parts for customers such as Boeing, Airbus, and Commercial Aircraft operators worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly and Quality Control: Assemble mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies, ensuring activities are performed correctly using proper tooling and documentation.
- Soldering and Inspection: Solder to IPC-J-STD-001 electro-mechanical assembly on through-hole and surface mount components, and perform visual inspection to identify any defective items.
- Tool Operation and Maintenance: Utilize hand tools, such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, gauges, or specialized equipment, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Process Improvement and Collaboration: Proactively identify and assist in process improvements, and work with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering departments to implement assembly procedures.
- Customer Support and Audits: May act as department representative in customer audits/visits, and adhere to operational procedures and ensure tooling is in calibration before use.
- Education and Experience: Requires a high school diploma and some degree of vocational or technical training; 0-2 years of directly related experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and ability to write simple correspondence.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Computer Skills: Ability to enter time and data into a computer system, and knowledge of database software, inventory software, manufacturing software, spreadsheet software, and/or word processing software.
This position requires working in a manual manufacturing assembly line environment, and may involve temporary reassignment to cover workload in other areas of production as necessary.
Salary RangeThe anticipated salary range for this role is $41,800.00-$55,000.00 per year.
