**About the Role:**

The Ethan Alexander Group is seeking an experienced Senior Digital Design Engineer to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in shaping the future of digital design and development within our organization.

**Job Description:

As a Senior Digital Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality digital logic circuits from product requirement documents (PRDs). You will work with various teams, including analog, verification, backend, system, and test engineering teams, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing micro-architecture specifications for logic circuits from PRDs.
  • Designing Register Transfer Level (RTL) designs using Verilog or SystemVerilog as the Hardware Description Language (HDL).
  • Creating standalone testbenches to verify RTL behavior.
  • Writing and verifying SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) for designs.
  • Defining timing constraints and clocks for synthesis and place-and-route tools.
  • Running industry-standard synthesis tools and troubleshooting timing issues.
  • Understanding design tradeoffs, including timing/area/power, and optimizing them.
  • Analyzing Static Timing Analysis (STA) reports from industry-standard STA tools.
  • Cross-functional interactions and communication with various teams.
  • Post-Si bring-up, validation, and debugging.

**Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, plus 5 years of relevant work experience in the industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Expertise in digital logic design fundamentals, such as clock divider circuits, multi-clock logic designs, CDC, FIFO, FSM, etc.
  • Experience in designing mixed-signal digital logic.
  • A basic understanding of Discrete Time Signal Processing theory, FIR, and IIR filter design.
  • Solid experience in digital design flow, including RTL design, synthesis, timing constraints, and STA.
  • Skilled in scripting languages Perl/Tcl/Python.

**Preferred Qualifications:

A PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering, plus 3 years of relevant industry experience, would be advantageous. Additionally, experience in designing high-precision digital arithmetic logic and Digital Signal Processing, complex FSM design, low-power digital design flow, and familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink would be beneficial.
