Job Summary

Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information, checking for potential interactions, and ensuring accurate labeling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, including patient information, medication lists, and inventory levels.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and use pharmacy software and systems.
