As a key member of our environmental department, you will be responsible for supervising projects, preparing proposals, and ensuring the quality of services provided to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee the execution of projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and scope.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and lead the preparation of proposals and cost estimates to secure new business and ensure profitability.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and develop a team of 4-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Business Development: Assist in business and client development activities, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients.
- Staff Management: Assist with employee staffing plans, recruitment, selection, and on-boarding, ensuring the right talent is in place to deliver high-quality services.
- Financial Management: Assist with oversight and management of key metrics related to revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and project profitability.
- Risk Management: Be aware of project-related risk and implement company risk policies to ensure the safety of employees and clients.
- Quality Assurance: Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects, engaging APRs on projects at their onset.
- Safety Management: Make employee safety a priority, in accordance with corporate safety policies, and prepare Health and Safety Plans/Job Safety Analyses and pre-task plans.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline practiced by the Firm, including Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology, and 5 years' practice experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years' related experience.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience directly managing staff and leading asbestos/IH teams.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Management Planner, Asbestos Project Designer, NIOSH 582 PCM analysis certified, Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor, WV Air Monitor, HAZWOPER 40 Hour certified, and Certification as AHERA Building Inspector.
- Physical Ability: Ability to carry equipment up to 35 pounds, climb ladders, get in and out of basement and attic crawl spaces, etc.
- Travel: Periodic out-of-area travel for projects, including some extended stays.
- Respirator Use: Ability to wear a respirator.
