Overview:

The successful candidate will prioritize safety, possess a robust background in operations, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a high-energy setting.

This role involves assessing, proposing, and executing operational strategies to enhance overall efficiency. Quick decision-making and participation in the Railroad's financial planning and budgeting processes will be essential components of this position.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations of accidents.
  • Ensure accuracy in work reports and car movement documentation.
  • Recruit and oversee Train Service staff, including training, task assignment, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Required Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols, GCOR, and internal regulations.
  • In-depth understanding of railroad operations, covering transportation, maintenance, mechanical, and administrative functions.
  • Familiarity with FRA regulations and reporting related to train operations and movements.
  • Prior supervisory experience in railroad operations is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred; however, two years of relevant experience may substitute for each year of education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly with executive-level management.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
