Key Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will leverage your academic knowledge to undertake various accounting tasks, including:
- Addressing inquiries from clients and colleagues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborating with clients to gather essential information for documentation.
- Utilizing analytical skills to identify valuable insights and trends to support recommendations.
- Identifying opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency.
Tax Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections in accordance with professional standards.
- Effectively utilize current tax and accounting software.
- Conduct research on tax-related issues and financial reports.
- Perform tax return interviews as necessary.
Audit Responsibilities:
- Execute audit, review, and compliance testing procedures per professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with engagement leaders regarding any outstanding issues or concerns.
- Prepare or review financial statements and related documentation.
- Develop a strong understanding of GAAP as it pertains to your assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated academic excellence in accounting, with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Working towards eligibility for the CPA exam upon graduation (150 credits required).
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data.
- Ability to think critically and make informed decisions based on education and experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with clients and staff.
- Capability to prioritize tasks, follow through on requests, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
