Role Summary

As an Associate - In-House Counsel within the Americas Legal team, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Legal, you will play a crucial role in:

  • Overseeing key legal functions related to the company's operations across North and South America.
  • Monitoring and interpreting evolving legal frameworks to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Drafting, revising, and implementing organizational policies and procedures tailored to our business and regulatory landscape.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create effective compliance and risk management strategies, along with training initiatives.
  • Providing legal support for transactions, including negotiation management and documentation.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following:

  • Experience:
    • 2-5 years of legal experience, particularly in commercial transactions, intellectual property, and business litigation, either in-house at a publicly traded entity or in a prestigious law firm.
    • Experience in supporting law firm partners or corporate General Counsel.
    • Familiarity with a broad spectrum of legal disciplines, especially corporate, commercial, regulatory, and intellectual property law.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously and performing effectively under pressure.
    • Willingness to assume new responsibilities as required by the organization.
    • Strong leadership qualities, integrity, and a collaborative mindset.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging with senior management.
    • Expertise in complex commercial transactions, demonstrating sound legal and business judgment.
  • Abilities:
    • Entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.
    • Ability to work effectively within a team.
    • Detail-oriented and business-centric perspective on transactions.
    • Innovative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
    • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
    • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
