This role involves delivering advanced care in an outpatient environment. The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) will manage orthopedic patients at our designated location, working both independently and collaboratively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. As a skilled practitioner, the APN will perform specific invasive procedures, develop tailored treatment plans, assess patient outcomes, and adjust treatment strategies as necessary. The APN will also facilitate patient transitions between service units and provide comprehensive education to patients and their families.
Qualifications:Multiple Locations Available
Educational Requirements:
· Mandatory: Master's Degree in a relevant field
· Required Degree(s): Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse
Experience Requirements:
· Mandatory: 3-5 years of relevant experience
· Preferred: 6-10 years of relevant experience
Licensure and Certifications:
· Mandatory:
o CPR – Basic Life Support Certification
o Current Registered Nurse License - State of Illinois
o Nursing Practitioner License - State of Illinois
o Physician Assistant License
· Preferred: Specialty certification in a clinical or functional nursing area from a recognized national organization
Technical Skills:
· Mandatory: Basic Keyboarding Skills
· Preferred: Familiarity with EPIC
· Other: Ability to gain proficiency in EPIC through on-the-job training
