Medical Assistant Opportunity

This Medical Assistant role presents a unique chance to make a positive impact on the lives of Veterans by providing exceptional patient care and support in a dynamic medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and record health histories
  • Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and maintain cleanliness of instruments
  • Assist physicians with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip examination rooms with necessary items
  • Chaperone patients during examinations
  • Review and edit reports in a proprietary software application to ensure accuracy, grammar, spelling, and consistency
  • Verify the accuracy of exam reports prior to submission to physicians for final review and approval
  • Assist in retrieving diagnostic tests for scanning into the proprietary software application
  • Collaborate with operational teams and provide medical records support
  • Work with providers and operational teams to ensure timely and accurate report submission

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification with phlebotomy training, or phlebotomy certification without CMA
  • Phlebotomy and blood draw experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Familiarity with medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
  • Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
