Physician - Juvenile Detention Center

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician to join our team at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable youth while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As a Physician at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of young individuals under our care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and ordering diagnostic tests to assess patient needs.
- Providing medical treatments and interventions based on established protocols and best practices.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, social workers, and therapists, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitoring patients' progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited university.
- Two years of post-residency clinical experience in an inpatient setting, with a preference for experience in a correctional or juvenile detention environment.
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of employment.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics.
