Pharmacy Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify patient data.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers via phone and electronic methods.
- Contact patients to complete refill assessments, request payment information, and establish delivery details.
- Access, input, and retrieve prescription and medical/lab information from computer systems.
- Verify medication reimbursement and resolve rejected claims.
- Process prescription refills and interpret supply needs for various therapies.
- Resolve customer issues and provide accurate information.
- Follow all State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality codes.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Kansas.
- Intermediate proficiency with Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB).
- Previous Home Infusion experience.
- Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience.
