Veterinarian Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at the City of Henderson.

This part-time position requires a licensed veterinarian with expertise in providing medical, surgical, and other services related to the prevention, treatment, and control of diseases and injuries for domesticated and wild animals.

• Provide veterinary care and services to animals under the supervision of the Animal Control Administrator.
• Perform duties such as vaccinations, surgeries, and animal health inspections.
• Develop and implement programs to promote animal welfare and prevent disease outbreaks.
• Maintain accurate records of animal treatments and health data.

To be considered for this role, you must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution and be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Nevada or another state. Two years of experience as a veterinarian are also required.
