Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Appointment Scheduler at the Elkhart Clinic. As a key member of our patient services team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless scheduling experiences for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet the changing needs of our patients.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of physician orders, new referrals, and return appointments on a daily basis.
  • Process and manage patient information, including faxes and scans as needed.
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records in our electronic medical record system.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, PHI, and CMS requirements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
