Job Description:

As an Ultrasound Technician with HealthMed Pro Solutions, you will perform vital diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing high-quality ultrasound procedures based on physician orders
  • Explaining procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding
  • Evaluating images for quality, proper positioning, and adequate visualization
  • Collaborating with radiologists and physicians to interpret and provide accurate imaging results
  • Maintaining and operating ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, following standard safety protocols
  • Recording and maintaining patient data and documentation accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Cleaning and preparing equipment between procedures according to infection control guidelines
  • Staying current on advancements in sonography technology and procedures through continuing education


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • An Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field (Bachelor's preferred)
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or eligibility with certifications in specialties (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular) preferred
  • Experience: New graduates may be considered, and experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to sonography
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and produce high-quality imaging results
