Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Lhoist North America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on plant operating equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant operating equipment, including inspections, lubrication, and adjustments.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Install and align new equipment, and disassemble and rebuild existing equipment as needed.
  • Operate and maintain plant mobile equipment, including forklifts, man lifts, and maintenance machinery.
  • Ensure all maintenance tools are kept in good condition and repaired or replaced as necessary.
  • Participate in company-sponsored training and certification programs to stay up-to-date on the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical program or apprenticeship experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of mechanical experience, including welding, equipment alignments, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to pass an electrical assessment test and have a minimum of 200 hours logged working under the supervision of an Electrician.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with supervisors, peers, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous heavy manufacturing maintenance and/or mining maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the lime industry.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as work orders, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and safety rules.
